Brookhollow is a mid sized neighborhood in north Houston in the northside area on the northwest portion of loop 610. This neighborhood is a triangle between highway 290 to the west as it interchanges with I-610 to the south and southeast. The southernmost border is on the 290 and 610 interchange while the northern border ends just north of Saxon rd. To the east the edge is bordered by White Oak Bayou. The major roads running through this area are Watonga Blvd., Mangum Rd., and W 34thst.
This is one of the most convenient locations to live in the Houston area because it sits right on the 610 loop and offers lots of access to the western suburbs via 290. This area is also close to I-10 to the south and I-45 to the east. The Brookhollow area is a beautiful neighborhood with a diverse set of zones from business to retail to residential depending on which side of the neighborhood you are on. Closer to the southern portion where 290 and I-610 meet you will find more professional complexes and hotels. To the west along 290 there is a lot more shopping, dining, and entertainment to be found with several strip centers to choose from. Much of the rest of the Brookhollow area is filled with residential communities such as apartments, houses, and townhomes. Houston ISD serves the area with the nearby Scarborough high school just outside of the area and many other schools to choose from.
This is a great area for professionals because it is very close to so many major roadways which makes it outstanding for shortening commute times. The Brookhollow area is great for students and families also, it really has a lot to offer most walks of life.
