Pflugerville is a city that is located to the northeast of Austin which is a suburb of the greater Austin-Round Rock area. This city is nestled comfortably outside of the city but is rapidly developing into a major city year by year. In less than 20 years this area has seen a population jump of over 30,000 residents and in 2000 there were only a little more than 16,000 people living in this city. Due to the rapid and consistent expansion of job opportunities in Texas many of the major cities and their outlying suburbs have seen major population hikes as career opportunities become more available. The suburb is bordered by Round Rock to the northwest, Austin to the southwest, Hutto to the northeast, coupland to the east and Jollyville o the west. The major roads of I-35 and highway 130 run through the area along with highway 45.
The great about living in Pfligerville is that you are just far enough out to enjoy a peaceful and laid back semi rural atmosphere while having access to all of the great jobs, shopping, dining, and entertainment you could want in nearby Round Rock and Austin. The area is packed full of open land, beautiful new housing developments, gorgeous apartment communities and townhomes.
The area is served by Pflugerville independent school district and other higher learning opportunities can be found in the nearby areas of Austin and Round Rock.
Pflugerville has a lot to do for a smaller city with the addition of their extra large Hawaiian falls water park which keeps families entertained in the summer sun to Stone Hill Town Center which has several nationally recognized retailers and Cinemark movie theatres.
Pflugerville is a great city to live in along the outer rim of the Austin-Round Rock metro area and is worth considering when moving to your new home.
