The city of Bedford Texas is a suburb of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex area located in northeast Tarrant county in the Mid-Cities Hurst-Euless-Bedford or HEB area. The city of Euless is located to the east and northeast, Arlington to the southeast, Fort Worth to the south, Hurst to the southwest and west and Colleyville to the northwest and north. The major highways of 183 and 121 run through the city providing ease of access to nearby and far away areas. Industrial Blvd. also known as FM 157 lies along the border between Bedford and Euless. Running through the center of the city is Harwood Rd. east to west and Central dr. from north to south.
This city is more of a residential city with several beautiful neighborhoods with gorgeous homes, lovely apartment communities and a peaceful atmosphere. The area is generally very quiet and almost serene for a big city suburb so close to the heart of the metroplex. Much of the shopping, entertainment, and dining is found in nearby cities but because of Bedford’s small size it is still very convenient to these outside locations.
Bedford is convenient to much of the most important attractions and services in the metroplex including DFW airport which is just a few miles to the east on 183 and only a short drive from shopping at Northeast Mall in Hurst. Just a short drive south in Arlington there is Globe Life Park, AT&T Stadium, Six Flags over Texas, and Hurricane Harbor. Bedford has a recreation center and park area called “Boys Ranch Activity Center” which is home to several events weekly.
The city is also home to many small office complexes, strip centers with nationally recognized retailers and eateries, and much more. This is a family friendly area with a lot to offer prospective residents and is well worth considering as a home at the heart of DFW.
