Bellaire is a Houston suburb which can be found in Southwest Harris county along the 610 loop not far from the downtown Houston area. This charming suburb is a very upscale neighborhood featuring high income houses and luxury apartment homes in a charming, laid back environment. Bellaire is a sort of retreat from the deep inner city Houston area where life is constantly moving fast paced. This suburb is a family friendly place to live and has a famous Little League team which managed to compete in the Little League World Series in 2000. There is a lot of history as this area traces back to the turn of the 20th century. There is still a street car on display in Bellaire dating back to the city’s early days before the mass adoption of automobiles called “The Toonerville Trolley” which connected Bellaire to Houston’s main street.

Bellaire is a great place to hike, jog, play sports, or take the family out to play in the park and picnic. There are a number of great parks such as Bellaire Zindler Park, Joe Gaither Park, Mulberry park, Joe Gaither Park, Locust park, Paseo Park. These parks offer jogging trails, picnic areas, softball and baseball fields, pools, tennis courts, soccer and football fields, a dog park and basketball courts. Because I-610 passes through the center of this lovely city there is a lot of convenience available.

Most of Houston’s finest dining, shopping and entertainment is just a short drive away from your home in the Bellaire area. This neighborhood is also great for medical students and healthcare professionals due to this neighborhoods short distance from the Texas Medical Center area. Just head down Bellaire Ave to W. Holocombe Blvd. and you are there. North Bellaire is situated near Southwest Freeway which offers quick access to the Downtown Houston area.

Overall the Bellaire area is a great place to live and offers a lot to families, couples, and individuals looking for a suburban retreat from the inner city Houston life.
