Carrollton is a large and beautiful suburb of the DFW metroplex located north of far north Dallas. This city can be found west and southwest of Plano, southwest of Frisco, west of Addison, south of the Colony, east of Coppell, and southeast of Lewisville. Carrollton has a diverse atmosphere with upscale living north of the George Bush turnpike and a small business-middle class centric atmosphere to the south of the turnpike as you go closer to Dallas. The city spans into Denton, Dallas, and Collin counties and is a family friendly place to live. Carrollton is incredibly convenient because it has several of the key highways in the metroplex passing through it. DFW airport and Love Field are both within a half hour drive from the city limits. Plano, Frisco and Lewisville are great places to work and enjoy entertainment and each of these cities are just minutes away from a home in Carrollton. Pretty much anything you would want in the DFW area is going to be a short drive away when living in this great city. Of course Carrollton has a beautiful historic downtown area with lovely boutiques to explore. If you want to enjoy a trip to the lake then just head north or west to visit either Lake Lewisville or Grapevine Lake for the day.
