The City of Farmers Branch is located on the north side of the DFW metroplex in Dallas County just south of Addison and Carrollton. This city has diverse neighborhoods and is extremely convenient to major parts of north DFW due to its location along I-635 and I-35E. The area is just a few miles south of Lewisville, a few miles to the east of the Las Colinas, Valley Ranch, and Grapevine areas and a few miles west of the Richardson, Garland and Plano areas. This is a very centrally located suburb which makes it great to live in if you are a student or professional working or studying in the North Dallas area.
Certain portions of this city are primarily professional while others are very much residential with a diverse income range for the residents representing this city’s population. While along the far northeast portion of the city you may notice more high-profile homes and luxury apartments there tend to be more mid-range apartments as you travel back toward I-35E. To the west of I-35 there tends to be a larger emphasis on business with some major corporate headquarters just along the I-635 corridor near Luna Rd. The majority of jobs in the area are provided by major corporations who have offices in and around the Farmer’s Branch area. Along the Dallas North Tollway to the east this city is part of the famous Platinum Corridor, a professional district that is seated along this major roadway.
Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD) offers classes at Brookhaven College campus which is located on the northeast side of Farmers Branch near Belt Line Road. Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD serves as the primary school system of the area while parts are served by DISD.
Farmers Branch is a great location with plenty of opportunity to students and professionals while being an outstanding family friendly city making it ideal for a new home in DFW.
