The Dallas Design district is a major neighborhood in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex which serves as an arts district with an emphasis on art galleries and other forms of design such as interior décor. The district has been evolving as an artistic hub since the 1960s and has become especially popular in recent decades for shopping, dining, and entertainment. The area is located south and southwest of I-35E and north of the Trinity river. The district is southwest of Oak lawn and to the west of Victory Park along the more upscale portions of the Dallas area. The Dallas Design District almost acts as an extension of the existing Arts district to the east with its own culture and ambiance. There are few areas in all of Dallas-Fort Worth which are more convenient to major parts of the metroplex as this area sits right by the some of the most important major roadways in the area along with the Downtown Dallas area.
Not only are there hundreds of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues readily available in the Dallas Design District but there are many other venues available in nearby Oak Lawn, Uptown and Turtle Creek. Living near or in this outstanding neighborhood is easy as there are many beautiful townhomes, houses, and apartments in and around the area to lease or purchase. Quick and convenient access to medical care is available with ease in the area because the medical district sits to the northwest of I-35e which gives peace of mind for any health needs or emergency situations should they ever occur.
Visitors often come from all around to enjoy the many art galleries and upscale boutiques along this outstanding area and it makes for a great place to live for professionals, students and families. Consider the Dallas Design district when looking for your next DFW area home.
