Cedar Park Texas is a city mostly in Williamson county, partly in Travis county and is a suburb of Austin. The city is located to the north of Austin and to the west of Round Rock and south of Leander. The primary highway passing through the city is US Route 183 which bisects the city. The area has a semi-rural ambiance in parts and is a very family friendly part of the greater Austin area. The city is lined with several beautiful neighborhoods and gorgeous apartment communities along with shops and restaurants. This area is a great place for professionals working in the nearby Austin area technology corridor in places like Round Rock which hold the nearby Dell global headquarters.
The greater Austin area places an emphasis on community events and entertainment venues and Cedar Park is no exception to that. The city occasionally holds events such as their Movies in the Park where they screen movies throughout the year and residents bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit out and watch at Milburn park. Shopping and dining is available at 1890 Ranch which has over 80 stores, restaurants, and other types of businesses along with a movie theater. Another great place to visit in the area for entertainment is Cedar Park Center which is a top of the line sports arena and entertainment venue which features famous artists from around the country and outstanding sporting events such as Austin Toros Basketball.
The city is primarily served by the Leander Independent School District, in part by Round Rock independent school district and higher education is available at the Cypress Creek Campus of Austin Community College.
